Skills for Justice identified a number of gaps in a variety of functions and occupations within the Justice sector required when working with children and young people (CYP) and has developed this suite of NOS to ensure that the workforce has the skills and knowledge to work effectively with CYP.

There are currently 10 National Occupational Standards within this suite.

2. BJ101 Plan, promote and support children and young people’s participation when they are in contact with the justice and community safety sector

3. BJ102 Prepare for and carry out bed watch requirements for children/young people

4. BJ103 Use physical interventions on children and young people in contact with the justice and community safety sector

5. BJ104 Promote the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people in emergency situations

6. BJ105 Promote the safety and security of children and young people in the immigration and asylum system

7. CP401 Assess unaccompanied/separated children and young people entering the UK

8. CP402 Facilitate the integration of unaccompanied/separated children and young people into the community

9. CP403 Refer children and young people at immigration/border control to the appropriate support agency

10. CP404 Prepare children and young people for repatriation
